NEW YORK CITY - The New York City Taxi and Limousine Commission will
host its Sixth Annual Driver Recognition Ceremony to honor New York
City's best Taxi Drivers and For-Hire Vehicle drivers.

The TLC will join with it's partners NYC & Company, the city's travel,
tourism and marketing agency; and Tishman-Speyer, co-owners of
Rockefeller Center and operator of New York 's most outstanding event
venue "Top of the Rock."

Top honorees will include:
* "Driver of the Year" Charles Kabbani, whose quick thinking helped
save the life of a passenger suffering a seizure;
* "Matchmaker Cabbie" Ahmed Ibrahim, who is now famous for his "livery
love matches";
* Douglas Guldeniz, whose historic fare to Sedona Arizona earns him
the "Going the Extra Mile!" award
* And many more!

WHO: NYC TLC Commissioner/Chairman Matthew W. Daus and Tom Madden,
Managing Director, Tishman-Speyer.

Special Guest Speakers: Ben Bailey, Celebrity Host of TV's "Cash Cab"
and Tom Wopat, star of Broadway's "A Catered Affair."

Enter through the revolving doors on 50th Street , between 5th and 6th
Avenues, under the NBC/Observation Deck/Rainbow Room Marquee. Cross
the corridor to the up escalator for the mezzanine level. Private
elevators will take guests to the 67th Floor for check-in.
