Customer Service/Dispatcher - Brockport, NY

SUMMARY

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

The duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:

Answer phone calls and assist customers in placing orders

Enter orders into computer as they are received

Schedule deliveries

Complete daily reports as assigned

Organize bank deposits

Organize tickets for processing

Enter purchase requests into automated purchase order system

Plant safety/ Driver safety –reporting and safety inspections

Run Batching process as needed

Communicate with drivers

Coordinate material deliveries

Process credit card purchases







Education and/or Experience:

High School graduate

Prior transportation scheduling experience helpful

Familiar with NYSDOT regulations helpful



Computer Skills

Microsoft Excel

Microsoft Word

The ability to learn new programs as needed



Other Requirements:

Willing to work in a team environment and assist co-workers or supervisors with other duties as required

Requires daytime, occasional evening and some weekend hours to be worked
